This ground rod is an extra-long 8 ft, which ensures the rod will get deep down into the earth. The depth and the galvanized steel construction provide this grounding rod with excellent conductivity. To install the Zareba 5/8 inch 8-Foot Galvanized Ground Rod, start with the tapered end and insert it into the ground. If the ground is very dry, you may need a post-driver or try watering the earth. Having three ground rods, spaced 10 ft apart, at least 6-feet deep is recomended to provide an adequate grounding system.
